The HyperKO 3 pushes Nike’s flagship boxing line into its next generation, blending modern engineering with design DNA from the earlier HyperKO models while aiming to become the lightest Nike boxing shoe ever produced.
🥊 Design Direction
The silhouette draws from both the HyperKO 1 and HyperKO 2, creating a hybrid look that keeps the aggressive structure of the original while incorporating the sleeker, streamlined elements of the second version.
⚖️ Weight & Performance
Nike’s target for the HyperKO 3 is approximately 10.2 oz in a men’s size 9, a dramatic drop from the HyperKO 1.0’s roughly 290 g. The focus is on maximum speed, reduced fatigue, and a more responsive feel in the ring.
🧱 Sole & Cushioning
The shoe introduces a Super Critical Foam Footbed, adding modern cushioning and energy return. This marks a shift from the HyperKO 1’s ultra‑low rubber sole, which prioritized pure grip and stability over comfort.
🔒 Fit, Lockdown & New Features
Two new functional elements refine the fit system:
- Lace Garage on the tongue to secure loose laces
- Lace Holder on the collar to keep the upper tight and distraction‑free
Both upgrades address common complaints from earlier models and enhance mid‑fight security.
🏅 Olympic Spotlight
The HyperKO 3 is positioned to be Nike’s premier boxing shoe for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, signaling its role as the brand’s next major competitive standard.
The new boots are expected to release in March 2026.
